“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.”
Beloved,
Christians are the objects of love – of both the apostle John’s love and the Father’s love. God loves us with infinite love.
PRINCIPLE:
God’s love for us is infinite and unconditional.
APPLICATION:
God loves every other Christian as much as He loves us. They may be jerks, but God loves them. God loves us in the face of who we are, and He loves them despite who they are. God does not love based on who people are; He loves on the basis of who He is. God loves out of His own character.
Human love is often unjust. It plays favorites and prejudices against ethnic groups or even other Christians. God’s love is always just.
