“Then the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God.”
Then the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God.
King Darius was on an emotional high. Just an hour before this, he was on an emotional low. He did not have stability because he did not trust in a sovereign God. Daniel had stability because of his faith.
He 11:33, “…who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions…”
Lasting stability comes through faith.
The person with strong faith has great stability of soul. He understands something of God’s sovereignty in his life.
God’s deliverance is perfect because He is perfect. When we put our trust in Him, we acquire a sense of stability and security. By appropriating God’s grace and provision for our souls, we give glory to what God provides and does for us.
Je 17:5-7, Thus says the Lord:
“Cursed is the man who trusts in man
And makes flesh his strength,
Whose heart departs from the Lord.
6 For he shall be like a shrub in the desert,
And shall not see when good comes,
But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness,
In a salt land which is not inhabited.
7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.”
Dan 6:24 to Dan 6:28 comments are missing.
I have seen in them, that the wicked will fall in the trap they have set for the righteous, and that God will work the actions of the wicked to be a seed for a blessing to His chosen. The blessing will not only be for them, but will overflow to show the way for the wicked to see a way to turn to God, and become His children.
Do you have the commentary for Dan 6:24-28?
Mike, thanks for calling attention to Dan 6:24-28 not being posted. It is now posted.
