He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time.
He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time.
The horn is pompous and boastful against “the Most High” (Re 13:6). He will persecute the saints (2 Th 2:8-9; Re 12:13-17; 13:1-10, 16-17).
God will permit him to have his way for “a time and times and half a time.” This is three and a half years (4:16; Re 11:2-3; 12:6; 13:5). This period is equivalent to the 1,260 days (12:6) and the forty-two months of Revelation (11:2; 13:5). This is the last three and a half years of the Tribulation, or in other words, the Great Tribulation. Jesus’ Second Coming takes place at the end of this three and a half years.
The Antichrist wants to eradicate the past. He desires to “change the times.” He wishes to reorganize civilization in a way that suits his values. In doing so, he will change “law” (singular). This is not Bible law but the foundational law fundamental to the state of society.
PRINCIPLE:
God always puts limits on man.
APPLICATION:
The last world dictator will attempt to remake societal laws after his own fashion. This will revolve around humanistic thinking. He will change the constitutions of national entities in an attempt to resolve man’s problems by means of man. He will disregard natural law and ignore the laws of economics, government, and morality. He will dare to think of himself as the solution to the problems of man. This delusion will last for three and a half years in the Tribulation. His power will be limited to a very definite period, and then God will pull the plug on him.
Re 13:5-8, “And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
As per daniel 7;25 Who is he in my knowledge he is antichrist. it is correct are not please send details of daniel 7;25 clearely. Thankyou.

David, I am awayfrom my computer for awhile. Go to my studies in Rev 13.
The original text does not agree with the 3 and 1/2 years as you stated. The “times” interpretation is literally in only the English translations. There is no designation of multiplication of time as stated in the English translation. It is literally the same word. In the Aramaic, Chaldean, Septuagint, and Massreuratic text, the statement is for a time and time and half a time. However, I do believe he is given 42 months to speak boastful things and change times and laws. Jesus even said in Matthew 24 that the days given to him to subdue the saints would be cut short for the elects sake. English translations make the same mistake in Revelations chapter 12. Stop believing regurgitated statement from other theologians and study for yourself. The answers are there
Michael,
I believe the issue is more than you present it. For example, the heptad in this case is probably the natural rending for English:
“For a time, two times, and a half time: as in 4:16 (and Rev 12:14) TEV takes the word for “time(s)” to mean “year(s).” Similarly NAB translates “a year, two years and a half-year” (likewise in at, and in the notes in NIV and NJV). But the most natural rendering in English is simply “three and a half years” (MFT as well as TEV and the note in NJB).”

Admittedly, the heptad is a period without indicating whether it is a year, but in this context a “time” represents a year.
זְמָן is noun, masculine, plural, absolute (the normal state of the noun, infinitive or participle; the form the word takes when not in a bound construct relationship to another nominal), and a common noun (normal nouns that can be used to refer to any member of a class, the entire class as a whole ((sometimes in the plural)), or a specific member of a class (with the help of a definite article or possessive marker).
“This grammatical number indicates when two or more things are referenced by the word / form. Many Hebrew nouns also have a dual number form which is used when referencing groups of two, in which case the plural will generally refer to groups of three or more. Some Hebrew nouns have only singular and dual forms. In that situation, the dual is used for denoting plurality in general. See J.-M. §90, §§135-136, §149a, §150; BHRG §24.3.3; IBHS §7.4, §14.2.b-c; GKC §87, §§123-124.
Numerals have a special use of the plural to indicate ‘tens’ for 20-90. E.g. שָׁלֹשׁ (three), vs. שְׁלשִׁים (thirty). See J.-M. §100i; GKC §97f; BHRG §37.2.1.3; IBHS §15.2.4.”

So Dr Richard as i interpret this with my little knowledge and understanding of Chp 7 : 25 it seems to be saying that people will still be able accept CHRIST during the Great Tribulation period. I would like for you to expound on this if possible. I often hear it being stated that the Spirit will not dwell with man after the Rapture. It states that he shall wear out the saints of the Most High. I would also like to thank you efforts BEC I use it when I’m preparing to teach our Senior Adult Men’s class @ our little country church in North Carolina. Thank You again & GOD BLESS
Roger,
The clearest, most extensive statement of salvation in the tribulation is found in Revelation 7. Here two groups are seen—144,000 from the twelve tribes of Israel, and an innumerable company out of every nation. There is no indication of time of the salvation in this chapter is not indicated, the chapter itself being a parenthetic vision between the sixth and seventh seals of judgment. However, verse 14 defines the general time of this salvation to be during the great tribulation, not after or before. The verb for “are coming out,” is a present participle that they came out of the tribulation.
I believe the “Law” is referring to the Noahide Laws that Pres. Bush signed into law in the US and are based on the Babylonian Talmud. Netanyahu just recently changed the Basic law to be based on the Babylonian Talmud. These Noahide Laws will be used to behead anyone claiming Jesus as God. .
