29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers,
wickedness,
“Wickedness” is the lack of morality; it is villainy. These people take delight in evil. This word, however, means badness. It is a general inclination towards evil.
PRINCIPLE:
This wickedness is destructive badness.
APPLICATION:
Wickedness is outgoing badness. It might be thoughtlessly cruel but, nevertheless, it is the desire to do harm to others. This is a willingness to corrupt people. The wicked person wants to make others as bad as he is. It is the deliberate will to inflict injury on others. It is the desire to drag others down to his level.
