“Strife” is a quarrelsome disposition with its active elements. Strife is an expression of enmity. It is contention and rivalry with others. This is a party spirit that results in sharp dissension and argument. Some people want to debate everything; they have an argumentative spirit.

PRINCIPLE:

Strife is sin.

APPLICATION:

Some people always look for an argument or verbal fight. They possess a quarrelsome disposition. Strife is born of ambition, prestige, place, and prominence.

When we argue, do we make sure we are arguing about the reality or simply about the words used? Also, is it worth arguing about?
