Read Introduction to Romans

31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;

“Untrustworthy” means faithless. Faithless people break agreements or covenants; therefore, they are not reliable or loyal to that to which they commit themselves.

People should do what they say they will do.

There are always those who do not operate on good faith. If we do not keep our word, then people will not trust us. Keeping faith is an important dimension to life.

Some people take advantage of others at the cost of their own credibility. They will break faith at the drop of a hat. This is utter disregard for natural ties.

The breaking of covenant in this verse may refer to those faithless people who deny God’s revelation of Himself in creation.
