This word is not found in some manuscripts but is located in the Majority texts. “Unforgiving” means without mercy or without pity. These are ruthless people. They are callous toward others, having no sense of pity toward them.
PRINCIPLE:
The inability to forgive violates the nature of God.
APPLICATION:
Some people are implacable and irreconcilable. There is no way to appease them. If you oppose them, they are your enemies forever. Cross them once and you have had it.
Unforgiveness is an unwillingness to be reconciled even after a strong appeal from another person. Such callous individuals are cruel, lacking any sense of mercy; they are ruthless toward others. Some people love to watch bloodshed. This callousness is a hardness of heart, a lack of compassion toward people. This mentality is ruthless and savage.
