“Just” carries the ideas of upright or righteous. The leader is to be upright in his personal conduct and in his dealings with people. This is someone who lives in accord with God. He is someone who has good credit and pays his bills.
“Just” does not appear in the list in First Timothy 3.
PRINCIPLE:
A Christian leader commits himself to doing what is right.
APPLICATION:
The Christian leader must be just toward men. He is fair with his followers. He is equitable in dealing with his congregation.
