A “holy” person is a devout person. “Holy” means pure, clean, or devout. This term generally represents a person as a worshipper. “Holy” is a condition of the heart that is unpolluted in reference to God. This term for holy is not the regular term, which means set apart unto God. This closely related word portrays the idea of devotion to the Lord.

PRINCIPLE:

A Christian leader separates himself exclusively to God’s will.

APPLICATION:

The word “holy” means set apart. God is set apart, making Him distinct. Those who know Him are set apart from norms of society. A separated life is not popular in Christianity today.
