11 Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences.
but we are well known to God,
The gospel team’s ministry was “well known” to God. God had inmost knowledge of their motives and actions. He knew them inside and out. He knows whether the Christian does what he does to gain the approbation of others or not. Neither did they do their service to earn points with God or to get something from Him. They would pass the test of Christ’s scrutiny at the Judgment Seat.
PRINCIPLE:
King Jesus is our audience, and He sees everything we do for Him.
APPLICATION:
All Christians will make a personal appearance before the Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord’s white light of appraisal will shine upon everything we have done; we will be an open book before Him. The King is our audience, and His eye pierces everything we do.
