6 by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love,
by knowledge [understanding],
Knowledge of God’s Word gives a genuine understanding of dangers in ministry. It is a practical knowledge of how to handle difficult people.
PRINCIPLE:
We need to keep God’s viewpoint on our trial.
APPLICATION:
Morality without understanding can create havoc. The ability to exercise wisdom, to size up a situation and apply appropriate action, is the idea behind “knowledge.” It is important to get God’s perspective on suffering if one is to face trials properly.
People in ministry should never lose God’s viewpoint on what they face. If we are ignorant of what we do not know, then we cannot deal with whatever issue we might have. God can fill an open person. This is particularly true with the discovery of biblical principles for living. God wants us to specialize in this kind of knowledge.
