3 unloving,
“Unloving” are those without the capacity to love; these people are heartless toward others. They are without natural affection. Their so-called love for others is not for the benefit of others but for what they themselves can get out of others.
unforgiving,
“Unforgiving” people are irreconcilable; they reject all overtures of reconciliation. These people deem themselves right and are not open to any examination contrary to their stance. They cannot compromise.
slanderers,
“Slanderers” are those who discredit others. They love to spread ugly rumors about other people. They are malicious in nature, not caring how much they hurt the reputation of others.
without self-control,
Those “without self-control” indulge themselves, preferring themselves rather than treating others with respect. They have disdain toward people. They jettison self-restraint and become imprisoned in personal inhibitions.
brutal,
“Brutal” people act in uncivilized ways. They act in despicable ways in society. These individuals act as savages; they function like wild animals.
despisers of good,
“Despisers of good” are those without the capacity to do good. They call good evil (Isa 5:20). They despise good because they have an appetite for evil. The “good” gets in the way of their decadent behavior.
PRINCIPLE:
People consumed by their vices mute hope of personal transformation of their lives.
APPLICATION:
People of our day reject how God can impact their character. They are skeptical that their lives can be transformed.
